A Modern Residential Neighborhood in Northern Zambia

The residential neighborhood comprises 1,000 housing units of diverse sizes, alongside a 30,000 sqm of various public amenities for residents' well-being. These include schools and kindergartens , a clinic, a church, logistics buildings, swimming pools, and an advanced health and sports center featuring tennis, soccer, basketball courts, and squash facilities.

The environmental development of the neighborhood encompasses 19 kilometers of roads and sidewalks, parking areas spanning approximately 50,000 sqm, water and wastewater purification systems, advanced electrical systems, and a specialized stormwater collection and removal system designed for tropical climate areas. As part of the comprehensive agreement, Ashtrom International supplied and installed all necessary equipment for both the housing units and public buildings.

The remote location of the neighborhood presented significant engineering and logistical challenges, particularly with sourcing and transporting materials. To address these issues, Ashtrom International established several nearby factories to produce the necessary building materials, including a quarry, as well as concrete, asphalt and blocks factories.
